On August 20, a friendly Sambo tournament took place in Almaty, Kazakhstan, where teams from London and Almaty faced off in an exciting display of skill and sportsmanship. Thanks to the outstanding organization by Sergey Afanasenko and the Sambo Federation of the Almaty Region, the event was held at the highest level, providing an exceptional experience for all involved.

Beyond the competition, the event offered a unique opportunity to exchange sports culture and traditions, deepening mutual understanding between the teams. Participants enjoyed visiting Almaty’s stunning sites, and the tournament organizers expressed their enthusiasm for hosting similar events in the future.

A special thanks goes to Sergey for organizing unforgettable trips to the Shymbulak mountain range and Kaskelen gorge, as well as introducing us to Kazakh cuisine and culture. Our athletes and their support team returned with lasting memories and look forward to visiting Kazakhstan again.
