The World Sambo Championships are the pinnacle of international competition, drawing the best athletes from around the globe. While winning is the ultimate goal for competitors, the event also serves as a vital platform for connection and collaboration within the Sambo community.

Our London Club visits the World Stage

This year, our club members proudly attended the World Championships in Kazakhstan as spectators. Though we weren’t competing, the experience was invaluable. It gave us the chance to witness world-class talent firsthand, reconnect with old friends as well as expanding our network with new acquaintances, and immerse ourselves in the global Sambo event.

Expanding the Reach of Sambo

Beyond the excitement of the matches, we focused on networking to promote Sambo both nationally and internationally. By engaging with fighters, coaches, and organisations from around the world, we are working to strengthen the sport’s presence in the UK and build lasting connections that will inspire growth within our organisation and beyond.

The event was a powerful reminder of Sambo’s potential to unite people through shared passion. We’re energized and excited to bring the lessons and relationships we’ve gained back to London!
