Commemorative Sambo Tournament in Rybinsk Honours Fallen Soldiers

On March 14, 2021, a sambo tournament took place in Rybinsk, held in honor of the fallen soldiers of the Sixth Company of the Airborne Forces from the city of Pskov.

Participants and Representing Clubs

The event attracted over 120 athletes from across the region, including competitors from the city of Uglich. Among these participants was the SK OLYMP club, represented by two of its fighters, Fedor Generalov and Rudenko Nazariy.

Nazariy Rudenko’s Performance

Nazariy Rudenko demonstrated strong determination, battling through three opponents. Although his winning streak was briefly interrupted in the semi-finals, he secured a commendable fifth place in the tournament.

Fedor Generalov’s Road to the Finals

Fedor Generalov showed exceptional preparation, resilience, and a fierce will to win. His journey through the tournament saw him face multiple challengers, ultimately advancing to the finals. In a close-fought match, he narrowly missed securing first place, which went to a strong competitor from Rybinsk.
